China Nights
I love low light photography, and shooting at night in China almost always provides something special. For me the light and the color and the characters you find on the streets of China are hard to beat. The atmosphere runs the gamut from glitzy hi-rises to grungy back alleys to rural enclaves and I think I've shot it all at one point or another.
China Nights is an ongoing and evolving project that dates back to the fall of 2007. Parts of the essay were originally featured on CNN and a later version was a Special Jury Selection at The 2009 Pingyao International Photo Competition.
